International Schools & Expatriate teachers

Generally speaking, when teachers move to international schools outside their home country they are faced with the dilemma of how to invest the money allocated within their salary towards retirement. In some cases the schools themselves might offer an option to invest into a ‘pooled’ group scheme. But this might be too general, and not match your individual requirements, such as currency, fund selection and level of risk.

This is further compounded by the fact that many jurisdictions in the Far East still do not have a regulatory framework for international financial advisors. The drawback of this is that in unregulated territories, there is no way of knowing whether you are dealing with a qualified financial advisor, or somebody who claims to be a financial advisor but might not have the specific training, expertise or credentials necessary.

Our integrity and track record
We believe it is vital that potential investors only deal with brokerages that have at least one office in a regulated jurisdiction, since then at least you know they are answerable to a regulatory authority. And it is important that the person you are dealing with can prove they are qualified to offer financial advice in the first place.

All financial consultants working with Questor are qualified by examination(s) under the Securities & Investment Institute of London, International Certificate in Wealth Management (ICWM).  On top of this, because we have a long history of providing financial advice to teachers, in most cases we are able to offer referrals from individuals who have been working with Questor for many years.

Our commitment

Questor Capital has relationships with teachers working at international schools in Asia dating back to 1999 and would be happy to provide referrals from existing clients to anyone looking to open a pension or general savings account through us. We are also members of numerous councils & associations in Asia and regularly attend conferences.

A 17-year bear market is over. The next two to three years could be the best time in decades to be invested in the UK stockmarket. Expect the FTSE 100 to smash through 8,000 - maybe even run on to 10,000.
